Hello!

So when I first entered this hobby I had no idea that reef inverts were so diverse and interesting. So much so that I already want to do a small tank for inverts.

Could you all recommend something that would live happily in say, a 5g fishbowl? I was thinking a few sexy shrimp with rock anemones, but if you think that's a poor idea let me know. Outside of general cuc, we do have a coral banded shrimp that we absolutely love to watch.

Additionally if you know of any inverts that you find intriguing to observe I'd love to see what other options there are. Even things like bristleworms would be on the table as they're so cool to watch crawl through crevices so if there's more things like that, that can go into a pico tank, let me know please! I would love to go down a whole rabbit hole of the reef tank inverts.

You could do sexy shrimp with rock anenomes! Or you could do some peppermint shrimp too!!! I would get rid of the coral banded shrimp because sometimes they can be aggressive and will kill all of your shrimp in one night! I had mine kill 5 shrimp in one night

Oh no, the coral banded is in my other tank. This pico would be designated for the sexy shrimp for sure. It's the one that triggered this immense love/fascination of reef inverts. I've kept neocardinas in freshwater, but these reef shrimp are just so much more interesting.

Do they not do well in small groups? Do you think I could get away with a porcelain crab or a pom-pom?

I was thinking this tank would just have rock flower anemones with not much else other than rockwork. But maybe mushrooms would be near to add into it.

Porcelain and pompom crabs are quite peaceful so I don't see why they wouldn't be ok.
