Whenever I take pictures on my phone the blue light is wild. My bright neon yellow zoas look black. Does anyone have the best editing app or settings for iPhone to get things to POP (while still looking discreet and natural)? Especially for full tank shots? here’s some I’ve taken and they look TOO filtered to me. Btw Midas Blenny is a paid actor.

I'm looking for the same but for an oppo phone! I think for iPhones there could be a post in the photography section in the Articles.

I use a pair orange kraken glasses.. orphek I believe makes the clip on lens for the iPhone or any phone for that matter.. there is a camera app that works well but I’ve never tried it.

Could I see some pictures? I’ve tried orange glasses at an LFS and EVERYTHING just looked orange no real color pop. Was that just a bad experience?

I use the kraken glasses lens all the time. Gives more “pop” than Orphek for me. Here’s a few shots. No editing done other than using filter. iPhone 13 Pro.

iPhone orange clip on lens
Full blue lighting for most pics
If it’s slightly purple tint on the sand then I have whites on also

Coral colors are accurate to in person
iPhone se. No editing. Just open photo app, clip on the lens, and take the pic

Use filters by Orphek or Polyp Lab otherwise take pic then in upper right corner of pic, click on edit and use the tools to lighten the image and alter colors, etc

I use the orange lens from a “reefing art” brand lens kit

I also have fritz orange glasses and they make things pop but don’t oversaturate orange. It doesn’t look like what you experienced at all. You can also hold the glasses up to the camera and take pics

Here’s my tank with the fritz glasses - day light settings and blues / uv only settings

For heavy blues - Orange and probably also yellow filters.

For me, I run full spectrum for 1/3 of the day as I prefer how it looks in real life.
It also makes photos a lot easier to take, especially top downs.
That being said, I still use filters from time to time, mostly for when I take photos from the side or from far away.

These were taken under full spectrum with a tad more blues, lots of UVA and the macro lens that came with the Orpek kit using portrait mode. No orange/yellow filters, no editing.

There are some sun glasses you can put over your camera that makes all the colors pop.

If you download the Lightroom mobile app (its free), you can shoot raw and edit in the app.
This was taken with an iPhone 11.

This is a great photo. What do you change around when editing to get it to look this good?

Dang, just switched to iPhone 17 for.. reasons.. but my pixel 9p had “underwater mode” that was spot on color with 0 editing/adjustments needed. This iPhone camera is sooo disappointing

My iPhone/ lights likes the yellow lens best. I have both orange and yellow and can combine. These pics are with yellow lens iPhone11. Really good representation as my lights were very blue at the time.

Orphek orange cell phone filter.
Only use preset zooms, do not manually zoom.
Win.
