I use A and K and have no gripes whatsoever. I have very strong growth and coral health, but I also send out an ICP every 4 months.

When I used TM AFR it contained 10% of each TM A and K. Hans mentioned you can increase the concentration to 15% so you can add extra 50mm per 1L of AFR of TM A and TM K.

But he did warn to be careful not to exceed maximum daily dose of A and K and that is 2ml of each per 100L of aquarium water.

I suggest you experiment with small batch of AFR and see how the tank responds.

Based on your AFR dose you can figure out how much A and K is added.

Good luck,
What response are you looking for ? ie what positive response

If you only add TM A and K at the recommended minimum dose I would look at corals and see if they show positive results.

For example one of my SPS corals was in rough shape:

After while colour improved, it showed some green.

Few months latet

If nothing happens, perhaps something else is limiting growth like low phosphate or N.

If pest algae takes off, like Cyanobacteria perhaps too much is added and the dose should be reduced. Algae likes trace elements just like corals.

I would keep the dose below the maximum that TM recommends, if you go over use ICP test to ensure you are not accumulating trace elements levels.

In general I find with trace elements, less is more.

Hope that helps,

Your profile states you are from Canada, I am from Canada.
I would not recommend buying from Amazon unless you want to spend 2 to 3x over the MSRP, it is insane what Amazon prices are for TM products in Canada.

Just search online for “Tropic Marin A Canada” or “Tropic Marin K Canada” few options should pop up, you may need to pay shipping.

Good luck,
