Hello, am I new to this incredible hobby and have had mu share of mistakes and things that need to improve, I recently had ich in my tank and I put a cleaner wrasse that was working with all the my fish 24/7 never stop eating the white spots. Now I see him tired and kind of sick. So my question is if a cleaner wrasse can get ich to himself? or does he has something else? what do you think, I will attach photos.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

It is difficult to see under blue light, could you photograph it under white light?

Cleaner wrasse are prone to getting ich as well, and of course, they can’t clean themselves, so if it has ich, you’ll need some other treatment.

Hello,

That does look like it could be ich. There is also a chance that it could be flukes, it looks a bit more “mucus” covered than ich usually is, but cleaner wrasse have pretty thick mucus. If you’ve confirmed your other fish indeed have ich, then that would confirm it on the wrasse.
I’ve never seen cleaner wrasse actually cure a disease, at best they just slow things down.
Do you have a treatment tank you can use?

Well, most reef safe medications have really poor track records, but this one at least has ingredients that have been shown to work in some cases. Have you lost any fish to ich yet?

Yes before I used medic, I used another one that was strong for invertebrates and it killed some specially the powder browns, I change water every couple of days because it was strong and also they recommended me garlic to help boost immune system
