Can someone let me know if this octospawn is supposed to act/look like this? I have had it for 2.5 weeks now and got it in the same shipment from aquaSD (both hammers and bubble coral). As you can see, the hammers and bubble are doing great— but my octospawn’s polyps don’t extend further than what it’s shown.
The neon green hammer adjusted within a day… I was blown by how much it tripled in size. The other hammer did not adjust until the third day and now it’s splitting into 2 heads.

I thought the polyps were supposed to extend more, or is that just the case for frogspawn? I’ve only ever had frogspawn and their polyps were longer and sway with the current.

I don't see a problem with that at all. I'd let it ride for a while. My frogspawn gets annoyed every now and then and it takes a week for it to get happy again.

If any change might be needed, I'd probably give it a bit more light and flow.... But I'd still wait several more days as it looks pretty good as it is.

I was wondering if it needed more flow/light. If that’s the case, I will place it next to my other hammer. It receives the most flow.

I’m running a Nero 3 but the intensity is at 40%. Anything higher, and my bubble coral contracts.

I’ve only had exp. With a frogspawn— and I remember their tentacles/polyps extended much longer than my droopy octospawn.

Yeah, but it looks decent, I would give it a few more days to acclimate.
