Hi all, I just wanted some opinions to see if my torch looks okay, it seems like it used to sway a lot more and look more open. I use a Nero 3 power head and don’t have it aimed right at it but it’s in the direction of flow. Am overthinking or should I configure a better flow setup? It almost seems as if there’s a magnet pulling the tentacles down lol. Thanks in advance.

It's a strong flow for sure. Im not thinking it's too much though. Is it random or linear? The video was a bit short to tell for sure. Either way, it doesn't look bad to me, but you see your tank everyday so Id imagine you'd see something that I might not. How are your parameters? Gotta ask that question.

The flow is just at a constant speed. I always figured it was a bad idea to put the power head on the same side of the tank as the filter, because my thought process is that it blows water and debris away from getting filtered out.

My parameters are pretty normal most of the time, I use Coral Pro Reef salt so whatever is on the bucket is normally what it stays around. My phosphates have been a little high recently but I’ve been working on getting them down

Flow is at a constant speed you need to have more random flow in light flow. More Pull back flow. Lot of debris. I understand if you just fed, but if that's all the time you might want to do some water changes and test your water

That might be a bit strong on flow since it's direct. Does the wavemaker have an option for random flow as Mojo suggested? Im not saying that's 100% of the problem, but strong, linear flow to euphyllia can cause it to withdraw and eventually receed. If your phosphates are very high and you want to lower them, do it slowly

What do you mean by pullback flow? Im new to powerheads so is that an option with a Nero 3? Also is it okay to have my powerhead on the same side that water flows through into filter?
