Is Ruby rally pro an alternative for Flukes?

Hey all. I have a sensitive dwarf that can't tolerate prazipro. He immediately is affected when it's added. Is there any alternatives to treat flukes? Is Ruby rally pro effective? Will splitting the prazipro dose over a couple of hours help instead of dosing it all at once?

No.... does not have much effect. PraziPro also safe and effective for flukes

The issue with Prazipro is the solvent used, not the praziquantel. If you can find just prazi powder, you can safely use that.

Thanks Jay. I'll get my hands on some powder. Is it true it's not that soluble? I've ordered prazicleanse. I hope it doesn't get seized by customs. I have access to prazi-med locally through Amazon

Correct - praziquantel is poorly soluble in seawater, and only a little more soluble in freshwater. Here is the thing though - even when it is dissolved in a solvent, if you look closely, you'll see that it comes out of solution right away when added to the tank! It turns out that the fine particles in the water work - so using a fine mesh net to mix the particles into the tank works just as well, without the issues that the solvents can cause (bacterial decomposition that suck oxygen out of the water).

I've not used Prazi-Med, but their ad says it is 100% pure praziquantel, so that would be fine to use.

That makes so much sense. I've always seen particles when I add it, I didn't even think it was separating from the solvent.

Million dollar question: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 days apart between doses? I usually do 5-7 days
