I made a tiny CO2 scrubber for my tank. Just to play around and see if I can get my pH above 8.0. For the time being, I just laid the DIY scrubber over the AIO, but it’s hit with light from the tank light. Will the light negatively affect the scrubber media, or will it be ok until I figure out if I’m going to go this route or not and more permanently mount it?

Fantastic question! I was wondering the same recently because I wanted to put my unused CO2 scrubber media in a container instead of keeping it in the mylar bag BRS ships their scrubber media in. After doing some research I found that it is indeed not photosensitive but should be stored in very airtight containers, hence BRS using those thick mylar bags.

Yup. If it's not air tight, then it will get used up as CO2 exchanges in the bag
