Hi all. During my weekly water change I noticed that my branching Montipora has 1 ‘white/milky white spot’ I’ve taken a picture and attached.
Is this growth or is it bleaching? It opens up as normal and looks healthy. (The picture was taken after waterchange, hence the closed polyps)
Hope someone can help.
Thanks all
Emma

I hope so. If it were bleaching, would it be wider spread on the branch?
Bleaching would typically affect the entire coral, and would not be centralized on a tip. Just keep an eye on it for a few days, but don't let it stress you. Looks like growth, which is good. ;)

Ah good I’m glad it’s growth (hopefully)! I’ll keep an eye on it.

Thanks for your quick responses
Emma :)
