I got a one spot foxface a couple of days ago and put it in qt. I noticed a spot on it by its tail that looks like a cut but want to make sure it’s not a disease and if there’s anything I can do. I soak it’s food in garlic and feed it a mix of mysis shrimp and nori. Thanks in advance!

hi, tail ? or mark where blade would be at base of tail ?

I’m not an expert however, I don’t think it’s a disease and looks more like a cut - I’ve had something similar looking appear on my tank but then vanish.

It looks to me like a cut. My only concern right now would be any bacterial infections that result from it, so just keep an eye out. If you want to predose with something like kanaplex or maracyn 2, that could also help.
