Hi everyone..

Found this late in the night nestled in the hammer coral. Managed to see it as the coral retracts a bit after lights out.
Am concerned of this is a danger and needs to be removed... the coral seems to be doing just fine.

Never laid my eyes in it.. I will try and see if it can be moved.. didn't try it bcoz if it's one of those things that will spawn when threatened then I'm asking for trouble.. will try and get more pics from my DSLR tonight.

They can multiply and get out of hand. They put out a net of mucus to catch food that can irritate corals

You gotta see the base, they get curly. Those look a little different then mine. I'll get a pic in the morning. Here's one off googleNreef2reef.

Oh.. these are distinctly different.. maybe it was just some tube of some worm... because it was not moving at all. I kept it overnight to see if there would be any change to it that I could then document and share.. but nothing....

The picture with 3 arrows are Vermetid snails. They will irritate coral. Either break them off at the base or if you can take the rock out you can super glue the hole shut

The pic with the 3 arrows are not mine. They were shared by a good Samaritan Luke yourself to give me an idea of these worms look like.. and in my case, I found it on the coral skeleton and bot on the rock so super glue option may not be my cuppa..
