Not like any ich I've seen. But sure it comes in different forms. It looks more like a scratch than a dot or parasite. Its about 1/16th of inch in diameter. Just appeared in last 12 hours. Tank and fish are in great shape. No indication of stress. Fish is eating fine. Just for sake of discussion, owned fish since March 30. Installed a UV light on the tank at same time just to keep this fish.

Looks more like he got on a scuffle with another fish, possible a battle wound? What else is he kept with?

Hes in a tank with numerous fish. There is a blue hippo in there with him. Never seen a scuffle to this day with another fish. But you know how that goes. There are anthias, fairy wrasse, marine better, clown, royal gramma basslet. Nothing obvious. The newest fish is the wrasse. Not seen anything to indicate.

That mean royal gramma
Or maybe the clown if this is the only clown , they can charge the largest fish even they have no fear for your hand.
