Is this WYSIWYG?

id be happy honestly, got the three main coa types, and not the paly…more polyps as well
I think the color of your tank lights and the photo are the main culprit for your questioning
I agree with the lights and photo not helping my case. But I was expecting and excited about the one I wanted. Not the one that showed up. Although I don’t hate or dislike it. But I’m not paying wysiwyg prices on a coral that’s not the same. But end of the day mistakes happen and people are human.

Did they flip the image and change the side the reds are on?

This sometimes happens in editing. Otherwise, it's clear the picture does not match the rock you got. I have a vendor in mind and during their last sale I struggled not to purchase a nice IMAGE they had because I told myself never again, the last time they had posted an image and then sent me something close, but not what was in the picture.

Hey Reefers, so recently I won some auctions and overpaid shipping. The reason I won’t name the store is because I could be wrong, and don’t want to defer business. I was gifted a credit with my overpaid shipping to use on their website so I did. I went to the WYSIWYG section and looked at the zoas. I found they had a colony for sale and loved the look. So I purchased it excited to see how it’ll look. When it arrived it was nice. I’m not sure the name of the zoas but I’m also sure it’s not the same coral. I would love input and opinions. Another reason they will be left unnamed is I’m fairly new to reefing and such so I can’t act like I know better than a company older than I’ve been in the hobby. Thank you all in advance !!!!!
Hopefully you can tell which picture is mine (the more dark blue tone)

I dont think thats the same zoa. Look different to me and the colony is more circular in their picture and more oval in yours. Also missing that distinct green zoa in the middle. They look close in colors but I dont think they are the same. Just my opinion

I don't think the big Coral in the middle is in the same place and the gap on the WYG is bigger but it could be an angle issue.

Can you all explain why the colors are so different? I genuinely do not understand. I've tried to adjust the colors on my phone and failed miserably. I finally just bought a cheap lens cover for my phone and take the pictures.

I have even tried to adjust the colors and still can't get anywhere close to what I see on the internet and I fundamentally don't understand.

I can see how the Zoas at 6'oclock might be the same and lighting is off, not as sharp or vivid.

How does the Zoas at 9'oclock have a dark green to light green/white-ish, then white, purple, orangish red to dark red with a purple center and white stripe on the WYSIWYG and the WYG is Purple, Yellow, Purple/Blue.

Then the 1-3 O'clock on the WYSIWYG are greenish blue, green, blue with white eyes and the WYG are reddish orange and purple with no white. I can see the center is a lighter color.

Both of the WYSISWYG that have the white centers do not have the same hue on the WYG, So if the color was off in the WYG picture, wouldn't the white show the same color on both?

I think they may be the same. The very large polyp is present in both. Yours are under tank light and the vendor photo is heavily edited to make it look appealing. I have one vendor I'll order from online all the rest I don't even shop because of the heavily manipulated photos. I can't believe how many people ooh and ah over them like they're real.

I find it interesting that they over charged you on shipping then gave you store credit instead of a refund. Sounds pretty sketchy and a lot like a vendor i had trouble with in the past.

The polyp you circled on the second one doesnt look like the big green one to me? Just a hiding red one or am I missing it completely??

It is a hiding red one.
yeah I thought so. Not the same zoa colony… still beautiful though!

Ignore me. TBH the big green polyp in the vendor photo doesn't even look real to me, it looks like it was added but that image is so over the top who knows. I was just throwing something out there that's why I said they may be the same.

Yeah I see what you mean about the big green one, does kinda look fake. Who knows with all the AI stuff! Scary.

looks the same but agree not good business.

I've had good luck with tidal gardens tho their photos look a little cooked to me now that Than the owner is no longer taking the photo. Battle corals has never disappointed tho Adam is mostly SPS

Could be your screen. With hdr being more common for screens.
I actually think tidal gardens corals look even better once you get them. And you see actinic and 10k images

At first sight I was thinking the same but the more you look the more I think no. Red zoas and green are reverse between the 2 photos. But mainly the red have green tentacles and on photo 2 it is full red. You can edit to change all the colors but not only the tentacles on 1 type of zoa.
I saw the same thing, ironically this is what leads me to believe it's the same colony. The image being mirror reversed is a common thing with some cam software. You see it on TikTok all the time.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it was a different colony. I have bought from this seller before and my WYSIWG pieces sometimes aren’t actually the pieces in the picture. Kinda upset about two instances of that in particular I got in my recent order from them, but I have already bothered their customer service so much I’m just tired of doing it at this point.

Can you all let me know who this company is so I can steer clear of them.

I just placed my first online order for 2 corals at a place and I am hoping it is not the same company….
WYSIWYG is more WWSIWYG what we see is what you get….

If you squint at the bottom right corner of OP’s post you can see their logo, but if it’s too hard to see I can PM you the name
