Snowflakes can eat fish slightly larger than clowns. Larger fish are safe. Flasher, fairy wrasse, clown fish. May not be. Any goby is probably a bite sized snack.

I sure will. There is no other fish like them. My own biased opinion.

I'm into different and weird. I don't know anyone who even has an eel in their tank. Going to be living vicariously through you.

2 fish I believe are truly unique. Triggers and ribbon eels. I could watch a trigger flutter those fins for hours and not get bored.



Turned the lights off. Signs of fear. So, giving her a few days to relax. Before next attempt. She's cuddling her rock and pipe now.

I've got a pretty trigger flirting with me through the glass as we speak. The way they move is really incredible. Both the pink tail and blue jaw both cruise around the top of the tank with the top fin breaking the surface and exposed. Too much fun.

Also, no signs of parasites. 2 weeks I'll work on getting the water up to 1.026. Once she eats for a week. I will place in dt. Unless, illness presents itself. Will dose metro+ once she settles on in. Eels and meds don't mix well. I would rather not medicate if I can prevent it.

They are. I loved my red tooth trigger. So wonderful!

Edit: she isn't scared of us. But, does not like the tank light. Ambient room light is proving to be fine.

24-28" still a juvi. This baffles me. Unless, the yellow pigment turns blue. I never witnessed the transition before.

Just a theory.

I use a small waterproof spot flashlight when diving and collecting wrasse or larger predator fish. They all react and come to the light. I can then turn light on, blind them and net them.

While diving, I noticed if a green back flashed, it looked like a spot light popped on then right off. THe fish went nuts and ate the green back. This includes 4" wrasse, even though the green back was 3" lol.

I wonder if it is not a response to feed.
