I do like the Turbo Aquatic lights much better. It seems more evenly spread. It will be interesting if having different light setups will be beneficial.

For a request on seller's name on eBay:

eBay seller name is weirdly nothing relating to WSR opha6987-xijafayf lol

SFS = side flow
DFS = down flow so drains are directly underneath
ACS # the # = screen size like ACS 10 is 6x10 and the biggest besides the quad version of it. ACS 5 is about 6x5 screen.

Then lots of mounting options like hang on back, hang in tank, mounts for in tank and over tank. Set in sump. Etc.

I think I bought his last quad that was in stock. But honestly it's WAY overkill for my 120. Heck I would be fine with the normal ACS 10 non-quad one when I had my 180. I had a similar sized L3 or L4 Turbo ATS and it did amazing. When Bud came out with the L8 with the Rev 4 I went for it. The L8 and Quad ACS 10 would be good for well over 300g or even over 500g sized tank. But it's really more about how much food you feed and a normal sized ACS 10 that WSR has in stock can handle quite a bit and probably what I should have gotten.

Here's Bud's recommendations for sizing his ATS and the normal ACS 10 is close to a L4 screen size wise I believe https://www.turbosaquatics.com/choosing-a-scrubber-size/

Some of that seeding stuck on the new WSR ACS. I see tiny specks of green here and there.

Here's a light spillage shot of both. It looks like the side flow may be the most prone to light spillage because of that gap I took a picture of before where water would flow out of if the pipes clogged up. I bet that could be masked.
IMG_20231007_222622416.jpg

Otherwise the other side has no light spillage besides very little that comes out through the light on indicator slits

IMG_20231007_222612965.jpg

The Turbo's has light spillage where the lights meet body. I'm sure that could be masked too.
IMG_20231007_222642514.jpg

Being that this is in my basement I never worried about it.

Ok, now the quad splitter is perfect for the 4 led fixtures on the WSR ACS 10 Quad

I just got this power brick in that allows me to adjust the voltage

And I have both scrubbers now set to the same wattage. I think starting out I had the Turbo's ATS set to high. I brought it down a bit and will adjust both up to 38-40w over time.

They both have about the same screen area. Let's see how this does over the next week or so.

I think I'm going to alternate the scrubber cleanings. One week clean off the Turbo and the next the WSR. Since the WSR is just starting out I'll do the Turbo again this weekend.

Seeing some green strands on the WSR. That's a good sign. I'm loving how easy the light fixture slides up and down and can view in easily.

Had to make my first repair on the Turbo Aquatics ATS. The split PVC rings (don't know what else to call them) failed and screen fell down as it was getting weighed down by algae. I have it zip tied up for now as a quick temp solution.

I heard a lot of flowing water which is not normal

Cleaned the Turbo ATS today. I'm liking the growth so far after starting it back up. Doesn't look like much until I clean it off both sides. Remember this is an over sized screen for my tank and I have two of them.

I swipe it down with the shim you see in the picture below and scrub the very top with the brush to help keep the water flow even across it.

Before cleaning.

After

And replaced the zip tie with a reusable one

Just watched my blenny sit for a cleaning for a good 15 minutes. Don't think I've ever seen a fish sit that long for one.

I didn't buy these two as a mated pair and didn't expect them to hang out together but they've been together non stop.

Kinda silly but I can't help but peak into the WSR ATS with how easy it is to slide the lights up to get a view

First week after seeding

Well, my tangs have decided they like the taste of the corky polyps. :( I may have to remove it if they keep it up.

Here's that poor corky. I moved it and kind of put it out of the way hoping that may help but doubt it.

I did pick up a tiny royal gramma. I tried one before in my 180. I never saw it again after putting it in. That was a long time ago. Luckily this one has picked a hole on a side of the tank I can see.

I bought two more of those adjustable power supplies for the reef breeder uv/blue led strips. I didn't like how over powering they were and shifting towards 20k look when they were on. They look perfect now adjusted down. I like more of a 12-14k look and I extended the time they are on now a bit more.
