The inkbird in the picture is for home brewing, the probe is metal. Look for one that has a probe for aquariums, probe is plastic.
omg, my bad.... i didn't know they had that many out there.
I try to do one every week but I look at my tank and I’m like eh another week is okay
which ink bird did you buy?

So I tested today even thou I said I didn’t but alk and calcium
My calcium level is 408 and my alk is 14 dkh… how’s that possible ? Could it be from the kalk paste I did a week ago on aiptasia ?

Hmm, water change is today yes? Don't change more than you want.. Do you have any sps? I just see softies and lps.

Hopefully the coraline takes advantage of the situation. But, that means checking calcium consumption. The one test I really don't like, next to magnesium.

Some sps would welcome the high alk, not acros though, the little princess' of the world.

Birdsnest, montipora, would put to use on growth with flesh and bone. Very long conversation ;Dead

Good thing I’m staying away from sps right now untill I get 1 tank stable.
I just can’t believe I was neglecting my other test since I was so focused on Po3 and no3

I hear you. 2006 to 2011 - I tested alk, caclium, phos, nitrates, ph and neglected magnesium. I was sorry. Once I learned why magnesium was important, I stopped being lazy about it. However, the one test that isn't really needed to be test as frequently as ph and alk. I really should get my seneye running. I just dont want to make a dedicated hub for it.

I hear ya I don’t even test mag I’ve haven’t tested mag since I started my tank. I should pick one up today. I also wanted to buy a apex system but thought it would be overkill on my 20

mag test should be ran on salt mix for water changes. Testing made up salt water is pretty helpful. you never know when you get a bad batch. Mag is not consumed quickly like alk. It doesn't precipitate out of water like calcium can. I use a cheap instant ocean, so running a test on fresh mix is much needed.
