What are some opinions on the new law being put into place in Florida for mandatory drug testing to receive welfare.

Myself, I think it is the best thing since the invention of the wheel.

I think it is a common sense practice..I am not against helping out others..but as a working member of society it is disheatening to see tax dollars spent on people who are fully capable of meaningful employment..It is a fact that if you begin to go down the road of a "welfare state" (state being defined as a body of government) you will have citizens who can and will "milk" the system..An once you have the state being the provider it is only a matter of time before the state becomes the "nanny"..Simply put..Alabama gives Joe money to eat, shelter, and medical assistance...Joe eats junk food, Joe lives in a van down by the river, and Joe is constantly ill from his diet and living conditions..Multiply this by 100,00 Joe's and now Alabama is tired of spending money on medical bills because of McDonalds and vans down by the river, so Alabam outlaws McDonalds, denies access to the river, and mandates medical assistance...FOR EVERYONE....
