Hello, I am new to the forum, but have been involved with reef tanks in some form or another for more then 20 years. I grew up having freshwater tanks and had my first reef back in 1993. One of the things I love about this hobby is the constant advances and development of new methodologies as we learn more. I remember when LEDs first came out and nobody really used them. They have come a long way!!

I look forward to getting to know the members here, and learning from everyone's experiences.

I am currently in the process of setting up my dream tank. I have saved my pennies for the past 8 years waiting for the right moment to set up a system that will have every component that I want, ease of maintenance, quality equipment, and a size that will allow me to let the corals grow into large colonies. The tank will be 72" x 24" x 25" with a 50g sump. I will start a build thread when I actually have the tank in place. I am hoping that will be by the end of next week.

You're not that old :) Just remember you're as young as you feel lol :D

I agree with this except....

My youngest will be 30 in a few weeks and that is enough to make me feel old...

Welcome to R2R and thanks for joining and bringing your experience to the party. Looking forward to your dream tank build thread - sounds like it's going to be a winner!
