Hey guys,

So as described in my old thread here:
https://www.reef2reef.com/index.php?threads/k_dog345's-nano-reef!-(biocube-14).232682/

I broke my biocube 14 and laid it to rest. After a quick search on Craigslist, I found a great deal and was able to get a new tank first thing in the morning on the next day.

Here she is!

I got a killer deal! $200 for the aquarium, an awesome aquarium stand with much more room than my old stand, built in protein skimmer (kind of sucks, but it's something), current led strip, and a bigger power head.

It was an all day project to get this thing set up.

My temperature has been rising to 82-83 degrees! I think it's my new pump, I ordered a fan to help with the problem. My calcium and ph are a bit low too, 340ppm and 7.8 respectively. So I'm dosing for that too!

All my corals have been long amazing!

We went diving a a secret location in Florida and caught some pretty cool juvenile jackknife fish! Sadly they died in quarantine. But we also got a cool blenny and some hermits with pretty shells

We also have a couple of new members! A banded coral shrimp and a diamond goby (who is missing)

Hopefully the goby will show up soon...

This comes right after we spotted a zoa eating nudibranch :(

We've been watching closely to be sure that it didn't lay eggs. Our zoas seem very happy overall!

Do you have a camera for scuba diving? Would love to see some pics.

I do actually! I have a GoPro I normally use, here's a video you can see

Haven't uploaded many more videos lately since YouTube has been silencing my videos. I hate that they do that! I don't even upload to try to monetize. In my mind, if I'm not making money on the videos and someone comes along, watches it, and loves the music it's just extra advertising to the band...but that's another topic [emoji12]

I'm so in love with my tank! [emoji7] we have more members added to the tank, fish from diving and corals from the store

We caught more of what we thought were jackknife fish, but wound up being called high hats. And they are doing great and super happy!

You can also see the juvenile bennets puffer I caught as well in this photo.

The tank is at fully capacity now! New members include

Fish:
1) 3 high hats

2) bennets puffer
ImageUploadedByREEF2REEF1457904042.444237.jpg

3) Molly Miller blenny
ImageUploadedByREEF2REEF1457903949.727721.jpg

4) rosy blenny
ImageUploadedByREEF2REEF1457904108.143469.jpg

All were caught on a reef in Florida. I'm super happy about finding the rosy blenny. One of my first fish when I started reefing was a rosy blenny. It wound up getting sick and I couldn't recover it. Leading up to its death it was super happy and fat.

All the fish introduced are getting a long well with existing members, and were thoroughly checked before introducing to the tank. Now I'm trying to get them all acclimated to tank life. If they seem to not go for the food I'm feeding, I plan on getting live pods and brine shrimp to supplement until they get used to a full frozen diet

New corals:
1) pulsing Xenia
ImageUploadedByREEF2REEF1457904288.547479.jpg

2) blue sympodium!
ImageUploadedByREEF2REEF1457904356.421156.jpg

Really happy to have found a replacement for my last one that died during my reef overhaul
3) more zoas!
ImageUploadedByREEF2REEF1457904405.072465.jpg

Excited that all opened up so quickly. The pulsing Xenia is already pulsating!

Something I currently very happy about is the regained health of my frogspawn
ImageUploadedByREEF2REEF1457904463.011593.jpg

It used to look completely bleached, and I did not think it would make it
ImageUploadedByREEF2REEF1457904691.238402.jpg

Also my splitting candy cane!
ImageUploadedByREEF2REEF1457905000.324761.jpg

These illustrate just how well my tank is doing. I had a little spike in nitrate, and maybe a false positive of ammonia in my tank. I suspect it was due to the introduction of several fish at once. I knew that was a no no but have no quarantine tank at the moment. I did a partial water change and added prime and bio filter booster. I'm gonna have a close eye on my params. All other params are perfect!
