Anyone hanging their 360x units from the ceiling? If so, how? I’m informed this is a DIY only option for this unit. Seems like an oversight on Kessil. I have a peninsula and just bought two... contemplating an Orphek trade.

I did a 3 month review of the Kessil A360X, that was about 3 months ago now... so I have been running them for 6 months total
I stand by everything I said in my 3 month review, and have had awesome growth continue since then as well!
Also here is my lighting schedule and program
And a recent FTS
Nice I’m really impressed with the output of the OR2 blue plus. For the price they are a great way to reduce shadowing with led’sNice! I have two ap700's and three OR2 blue plus over my shallow 90g. I'm going to pick up a 360x for the middle of the tank, then I'll replace the 700's with more 360x's. This will allow me to fine tune the position of each light over my scape and create nice overlapping between the lights.
Hi I am getting 1 360x next week to try out on my 220 compared to my old lights before I buy 2 more I was wondering what your tank dimensions are and what order you have the t5s in. I have to ati blue plus and 2 ati actinics as well and think i may copy your scedual as your tank looks amazing.
That tank is awesome got mine in the other day and was playing around with it. Seems like its gonna be an awesome light cant wait to get the other 2 ordered and the wifi dongleI have a 3 foot tank, its the Neptunian Cube k90. I have the atinics on the outside and the blue+ on the inside. Kessils in the middle witht he DX18 fixture
Those are pretty much for your viewing pleasure. Adjust them until you like the way it looks.I have no clue what I should set the red and green channels to. Any suggestions?
what intensity are you running for your 25?thanksSo I have the 360x with the rigid mounting arm. Curious question. I've had the light on a 25g ext lagoon tank for around 5 months or so. I have the light centered up and mounted on the backwall. Since set up, Part of the light mount has been partially submerged in water. Didnt really think much of it until recently. Now I'm curious if this can affect my water parameters over time due to possible corrosion? Should I move the mount up out of the water and if I did would it still be strong enough to support the light? I have noticed coraline growing on the submerged area of light mount. Just worried over time about the coating flaking off or corrosion over time. Attached is a pic I snapped on my cell. Any input would be welcome and appreciated.
thanks for the fast reply. I mount the light 12inch above my 25 most lps and softy. I don't know what intensity should use. I do have a brand new par meter but I don't think it's accurate at all. I'm new to reef aqurium kind afraid I already damaged some of my corals. (was running 70% intensity and 40 %color for few days)I have the same setup, 25g lagoon black (I drilled mine for a eclipse overflow. I have mine at 100% intensity and 30% color. I have added a Orphek OR2 60cm led bar as well for extra light. My target is 350-400 par in the center of the tank and this combo gets it there
At 12” above and 70% intensity you were probably only 150 par directly under it so you shouldn’t have burned anything. They may be getting used to the light but I doubt you did permanent damage. At 100% and 8”’s above I get about 250 par.thanks for the fast reply. I mount the light 12inch above my 25. I have lps and softy. I don't know what intensity should I use. Thanks again. I just pulled out my par meter to test it again. Even at 100% intensity 40% color, the par level only 100 on the sand bed. Is this sounds normal? about 190 below the surface. (par meter is apogee sq420)
12" is pretty high, I think most run 6" to 8" off the waterThanks again. I just pulled out my par meter to test it again. Even at 100% intensity 40% color, the par level only 100 on the sand bed. Is this sounds normal? about 190 below the surface. (par meter is apogee sq420)
