I don't think you can figure intensity and duration as totally interchangeable, you should probably decrease your photo period.

I'm doing this and my frogspawn look great (probably 20" below the light source)

Honestly contemplating adding a 2nd one to decrease shading... I love this kessil a360x... it has been one of the best lights I've owned...
Only light I’ve owned but I have no issues that other brand owners have at all. I’ll be kessil 4 life even tho I’m prolly gonna add a T5 hybrid fixture. But I won’t ever throw any radions on it tho lol kessil just works and is aesthetically pleasing (with the spectral controller)

Hoping for some information on the violet channel
every time I try to increase it I have a torch coral that just retracts ?
is it just this coral that is not happy with it or is the violet very intense ? As I didn’t think it would have so much punch to it
if I Reduce It next day it’s fine again
i can’t seem to get above 40 at the moment last time I tried to increase to 50 but am back at 40
i would like to get it up at the 100 most people use as I can see the benefit from the chlorophyll A

Just increase it in smaller increments, say 2% a week, hold a week, then add a little more. Just go slow and observe. If it's the only coral reacting, then maybe moving it to a lower spot may ease the transition? If you can?

Just wanted to start a thread for fellow A360X owners to post and share their lighting schedules.

Here’s mine.

5:00am Clr=0, Int=1, Vi=0 R=0, G=0

9:00am Clr=10, Int=30, Vi=10 R=5, G=5

12:00pm Clr=30, Int=70, Vi=70 R=15, G=15

2:30pm Clr=50, Int=80, Vi=80 R=15, G=15

5:00pm Clr=30, Int=70, Vi=70 R=15, G=15

7:00pm Clr=0, Int=10, Vi=5 R=0, G=0

8:00pm Clr=0, Int=1, Vi=0 R=0, G=0

10:00pm Clr=0, Int=0, Vi=0 R=0, G=0

Thanks for this info. I’ve been looking for some recommendations on a360x. Just changed my 45 gallon Reef savvy cube over to this schedule. Good look and makes sense.

does anyone have these over a big tank like a 120 or bigger i mostly see them on small tanks. i still have the 360we kind of nervous to upgrade

4 x a360x over a 210 gallon (54" x 30" x 30") mixed reef. Light is able to reach the bottom. I have the narrow lens they sale in my cabinet should I need to increase or focus lighting. Right now the tank is on the 2nd year of maturity so not a full mixed reef. I do have a maxima clam that is doing well. It is probably my biggest light gauge to say if I need to add the 90 degree narrow lens or not. So far it has been doing very well.

Not the best photo. The lower bubble coral is new in this photo and was supposed to be a pearl white. It was but it is now tan and very large :) The frogspawn middle left of the Corky gorgs was being harassed by my matted file fish which is now gone. That has increased in size. I also have a pretty good outbreak of cyno happening that I'm letting run its course. Overall it is doing well and nothing hindered by lights. It is just the whole tank mature thing when using dry rock.

Older picture again with a bit more growth today compared to this and mid day - I prefer less blue but the lights work well all things considered. Small form factor. Can reach down 30" easy with lens. Mount anywhere from 6 to 8 inches off water. Can go higher and use lens or same and lens to punch through or focus on coral(s). Several mounting options. Great support from Kessil. Shimmer is what it is - but not a factor for me or concern.

Old thread but I have a question on how Kessils work. If I set a certain color intensity between time X and time Y will the light automatically adjust itself over the course of time. Example 7am Color =0 Intensity =1 V=0 / 11am Color =30 Intensity =60 V=100 R=15. Will it slowly ramp up to the 11am settings over those 4 hours?

Short and sweet. Thanks!

Follow up. Why do people create all the different ramp up time points then if the light does it for you ?
Some people add certain colors during peak times, reds and greens, but I agree, keep it simple. I add two mid day points so I can increase intensity in smaller increments, it's not necessary, but I've been running them (kessil's) this way for six years and it works for me.

Does anyone have any aquaticlife t5/kessil 360x schedules they could share or critique my current schedule? I've read a few other threads but the schedules are limited. I have a mixed reef, heavy on the SPS and acros. I'm running 3 360x with 2 Blue Plus T5 & 2 True Atinic T5 bulbs over a 5' tank. My par reading are 700+ at the top of my rocks at 80%. Light is 8" over the water.

Time Intensity Violet Red Green
08:00 4 0 0 0
10:00 85 100 0 0
14:00 100 100 0 0
17:00 85 100 0 0

Your schedule is fine for duration, but you may want to back down the intensity a little. No mention of color, what % are you running? How are your corals looking? They will tell you if they are happy or not, but 700+ par can scorch quite a lot if you're not careful. Post a pic of your corals and setup.
