Wow not only aiptasias but mushrooms and xenias too....sign me up Paul!!! Cant wait to see you get these going!

It will be very soon, the hold up is lawyers. I was ready to manufacture 5 months ago but lawyers don't work very fast.
Patents and contracts are a horror even though it looks like it should take 2 days to me it is a big deal for some reason.

Wow Thats wild looking, i would think more ELC would get in the tank, i think i understand how it works very simple and smart great job youll help thousands of reefers.

I saw these on another website are they yours or did someone already try and swipe the idea? None the less man that is awesome I am def. going to try and talk our club into buying one. What more can you want that or ill be buying one for myself. Your hand can touch the water as well and you will be okay or do you have to just use the wand?

I have had my hand way in the tank, so I can guide the tip against the flow and never experienced any tingling, let alone shock.

i was assuming it was a stupid question. where exactly did you get yours... i think this could be the next big thing in the hobby shoot who doesnt have apatasia problems.. also does it plug into the wall or is it battery operated.? it must be kind of nerve racking using it the first time...

It plugs in the wall. I bought one from Paul a couple months ago and it's great. Not only does it nuke the aiptasia, but I've had success on kenya tree, yellow colony polyps, and anthelia!! my xenia is on the sandbed, so it's easy enough to just pull out and throw it in the fuge, but those three seem to pop up everywhere in the tank. I wish I never bought any of it. The only thing that I can't seem to get rid of with it is some GSP that's starting to grow over some zoa colonies, so I'm stuck with a razor blade there. Overall, the best tool I've ever had to kill off invasive species.

this is a tottally cool gizsmo, would love to borrow one to zap some pest in my tank,

I have a Patent Pending for the device which is now called the Majano Wand.
As I said to do this right and legally takes a lot of time and money. When the patent is finalized, which is up to the patent office, it becomes retroactive from the time I filed the patent last January. That means that anyone selling or advertising it in the US as of last January are lible for patent infringement from that time on. Patent infringement could mean that any profits that were made by another company during that time could be legally mine. Of course I would have to sue and that is expensive possably costing upwards of $50,000.00 or more but you have to do what you have to do and it all works out as any law suit will be in excess of that.
This is my second aquarium patent and I am used to it. Inventing is fun, legal stuff is for the lawyers, that is what they get paid for.
A patent basically just gives you the right to sue.
I soon will also have an international patent.
We will have a web site up soon with all the details and there are attachments in the works that can be added to the device to enhance it's application and allow it to work for different creatures. The attachments are also covered in the patent as well as numerous design modifications.
Anyway guys, have a great day and stay safe,
paul

I almost bought one, but I guess I must wait until yours is ready for the market Paul. I just hope that Aiptasias on my tank wouldn't have Fiesta and have the Valentine fever until my unit arrives. Down with the Intellectual Property stealers.

Thats awesome Paul, love seeing people come up with new things to help others! i'll be following along

I should get a few next week then 200 the next week. Many of them are already sold so I can't wait.
I am also very proud that they are American made.

I may have missed it but is there a chance of stray voltage affecting other tank inhabitants? I'm guessing no but still curious how this works..

The electricity does not kill the majano's, it is the gas that the water turns into inside the animal that disintegrates the animal.
The electricity is very little and will not harm you or anything else.

Paul,

I see two units for sale, one at TB Aquatics (SWC Pest Anemone Zapper) and another from Tropical Reef Corals (AipTaser).

Are these units that you are involved with or are they knockoffs?

SWC bought two of mine and brought them to China and had them copied there, TB Aquatics was selling them in the states for them but I think they stopped. I have a Patent Pending on the device now called a Majano Wand and I have almost $15,000.00 invested in it mostly for the patent.
That company will soon have to stop selling them or be involved in a large Patent Infringement law suit.
My NY Lawyers are very good at what they do and I have no doubts that company, which is based in Canada will stop selling them very shortly.
The only company authorised to sell them will be PS Aquatics. I am the inventer and We have them proudly built in the United States.
I sold about 150 of them which I built myself and now we are having them commercially built in Florada. In about a week or two we will be offering them for sale on all of these forums and we will be advertising on here.

I would like to preorder one if possible. I have a HUGE aptasia problem and dont want to be late to the party, Aptasia Killing Time Party that is! :) My wife is excited also.

I may have to get two. Do they come in pink for the ladys?

I perfer mine in Gunmetal or Carbon Fiber. LOL

Dark_Reef you are on the list. As soon as I have them I will ship.
Thanks Paul
