Hey Guys,

Im a 20 year old Student from Austria presenting you my very own slice of the ocean.

Tank is up since 23th of December 2017.

It's a 65g (250 L) AIO "Custom" Red Sea Max C-250

IMG_0950.jpg

I Bought it as a showpiece for Sale for 700€ including Stand, 2 Return-Pumps, A Skimmer, 6 t-5 Fixture in the Lid and some more.(Basically what came from Factory)

After getting home i basically ripped everything apart. I Tossed the Lid, Removed all of the plastic Cover/Rims to create a clean, Rimless-Look. Also i don't use the stand that came with it.

As a stand i use a massive Wooden Furniture piece we have from relatives with a marble plate on top.

For Lighting i use the Maxspect RSX 200W Led Fixture which was brand new when i bought it. I had heard good things about Maxspect LED Lights and since the RSX was what followed up the 420r-Razor i knew what i wanted. Concerning this Light i had issues with the on board Controller at first but after i reinstalled the Software(With help of Maxspect Support) i never had any issues. I succesfully keep softies, las and sps including one Acropora as of now(will get more in the Future)

I Cycled the Tank with 50lbs (24kg) of Life Rock and Crushed coral as Substrate which i seeded with a handful of sand from a LF.
IMG_0970.JPG
I used Microbe Lift Nite Out 2 swell as Special Blend and had the tank Cycled in less than a Week.
After the Initial Cycle i added my first small CUC.

IMG_0974.jpg
First fish added were 2 PLATINUM Percula Clowns about 1 Month in.

For Those of u wondering what happened to my 2nd Platinum Perc Clown...

I just finished dealing with my biggest Tank Disaster.

See i always had great Coral Growth but kept thinking my fish could look better.
In the end i seemingly had Brook in my tank for quite some time which killed >90% of My fish. Actually i lost all but this one Clown.

I Have a 2nd Clown in QT(Which i have since the Brook Incident)

Fish i lost are as Follows:

1 Platinum Percula Clown (Lived almost 5 Months)
1 Starry Blenny (Lived 2 Months)
1 Midas Blenny (Lived >1 Month)
2 Mandarin Gobies (1 Lived 2 Months, one <2 Weeks)
1 Hi-Fin Goby (Lived 4 Months)
2 Twinspot Goby (1 lived 4 Months, 1 lived 1 Month)
2 Yellowfin Pygmy Angelfish (1 Lived 3 Weeks, 1 Lived 5 Months)

I Lost the 2nd Angel, The 2nd Clown and the Hi-Fin Goby when panicking and putting them in a QT that wasn't Cycled completely and they died from Ammonia Burn most certainly which is the biggest mistake i made until now in the Hobby. I successfully got The Mandarins swell as the two spot Gobies to Eat Frozen Food but all of them died rather rapidly over night with infections all over their bodies.
