I don't understand everything he does, either. It's a remarkable system. One of the things I love about this hobby is that the learning never ends.

Agree Brew!!! I see already four likes on my post and i wonder now what you appreciate, my honesty or the fact that i don't understand nothing???:):):):)

Sometimes we “like” for general support or because we are glad when people contribute their thoughts.

@Tim2@Triton Can you help this guy out and tell him where he can get your products in Greece. Or any other EU country. I can give him the adress to a Swedish webbshop but there must be companies more close to him.

Sincerely Lasse

Fine tuning DOC and flow in my plenum. Now the flow around 120 l/24 hours - redox around 0. For the moment 0.06 ml every 4:th minute (2.5 % ethanol). Flow manage by wanted redox value of 0. Pulse variable 2 sec, pause 5 sec. Hysteresis 15 mV

The DOC is injected under the sand bed and will probably not reach my corals. This spikes is probably when my control system do not function the way I want. I have start with 1.2 % DOC solution for a couple of hours ago and I get more spikes. I´ll se how it looks like tomorrow. I dose very little and I maybe need to flush the tubes now and when.

Why are you aiming for lower? (lower than 35 I suppose I mean)

Cheers, Tony

My goal is 34.5 promille

The reef is now around 27 months old and it is time for some pictures again. I have been out of town for nearly two weeks and the aquarium manage this time rather good. The tube to my calcium dosing was out of order when I arrive at home - rather high KH and low Ca was the result. However - my corals seems not have notice this and still thrive. My measurements say below 300 ppm Ca but I do not trust that - but it is low for sure. Rising it slowly. Last Triton said 515 ppm. I will catch up a new test next week.

It seems like this tank always do well when you go away. Hmmmm

Looks great! But you need some more colours to stand up against all that green.

And you missed some spots when you cleaned the window... :p

See you tomorrow at work!

I´m reducing the GSP now and then if it grow to wild. Yes - they can harm some corals but between my green hairy mushrooms and GSP - it is a DMZ - the same between GSP and some stony corals. I like green :) Euphyllia is much more toxic to other corals compared with GSP - they can kill with sweepers too. I like when corals grow like they do in the wild.
