Note that this tank has had virtually no water changes and is dosed with AFR to maintain 9 dKH, and has been this way since Dec 2024.

Salinity high @ 36, clearly I need to recalibrate my refractometer since I thought this was spot on.

Calcium high, I don't know how much that would go down lowering the salinity, but I doubt it will go down very much.

Iodine low.

And then the oddball, Nitrate at 31, when I've been measuring it with a hanna marine master at 8-14 over the last couple months.

Thoughts?

Daily dosing of iodine is expected IME even with AFR dosing. It depletes quickly.

If you aren't going to do water changes, calcium will continue to rise on your current course. You can either start water changes or start dosing just sodium bicarbonate to keep alk up but bring calcium down through growth. Just dosing alkalinty doesn't bring any trace elements like AFR and may or may not be an issue

Dropping salinity from 36 to 35 ppt will drop everything to 35/36 times the current value, or to 526 ppm for calcium.
