Hi,

I recently got a Lawnmower Blenny about a week ago. I noticed he breathes super heavy and fast - the other fish don’t do that. I have 3 Nemo’s and a Naso Tang which I call “Lips”

They all seem to be getting along and the salt levels are fine. I noticed though he cleaned up the amphipods and his stomach is huge. Anyone know what’s up? Or am I overthinking?

A picture or video of the fish will help. Not really much algae on those rocks to feed an algae eating fish, it might be hungry. What size is the tank?

Thanks for feedback I have a 80 gallon tank.

Could you attach the link as a YouTube video? Embedded videos don’t always work on here.
Full parameters would be helpful, as well as a history of the tank and fish. Was the fish quarantined before introduction?
Blennies generally do breathe fast, but a number of diseases will affect the fish’s respiration as well.

Unfortunately, I do not have any help for your blenny, but I would recommend getting rid of the plastic decor. The plastics will leech into your water column and can cause harm. Even “safe” decor will eventually leech something.
