I am upgrading to a 150g 60 X25 x 24 tank I have 1 ai hydra currently I will be using but wondering if 2 would be sufficient or do I need 3 total

With 60" length, you'll be looking realistically at using 3 unless you don't mind the extreme shadowing that two would give.
