I have a Red Sea with t5 fixture and I really don't want to retro fit the whole thing but considering adding a strip of leds to enhance the color when the liters are out. I am trying to avoid having to use double sided tape to attach the strip. Does aT5 bulb with LEDs exist? And if so how are they.
Thx

They are just starting to come out. Run by existing ballasts they look promising as a future drop in replacement, however the current ones are expensive given the quality of the LEDs and I question the longevity based on their thermal management.

If you do not want to do a complete change over I would stay with the T5s as they are proven to grow despite their efficiency.

Back in the day I was very happy with a 50/50, 420 Actinic mix. If you want a little more red add a Fiji Purple.
