Leopard wrasse, adding more in future?

Hello, I have a oppurtunity to buy a “large” leopard wrasse from a local guy who breaks downs tanks for only $65.00. I have wanted leopard wrasse, and have had my eye on quite a few and just been searching for rehomes of them so I have the best chance. Sooo I am defiantly going to buy this guy and he is going into my 180 with a large hippo, med blonde naso, med purple, med Dejardini sailfin, med tomini, transitioning emperor, small coral beauty, obese lemon damsel, and harem of 6 clowns.
The tank gets fed to well just because I love watching them go crazy, and the side point of could help with aggression cuz a fat fish is a happy fish.

1. But I want to have 3-4 leopard wrasse in my tank ideally, but with this guy if I get him can I add 3 more in the future? If so how long do I have till he is to settled in and there could be problems.
2. Would I have better chance doing different types like potters leopard, black leopard, blue star leopard? Or if he is a male leopard could I do 3 females? Not sure EXACTLY what kind he is from the photos but once I pick him up I’ll ID him to be 100% sure.

Also side note tank is covered edge to edge with diy mesh lids
And I am looking to add 3-4 wrasse (leopards) and like 4-5 anthias and then be done with fish. Maybe some smaller guys like royal gramma or black cap basslet.

I tried 2 leopard wrasse's before, the larger one turned male and aggressive towards the female. I had to remove him from the tank.

What kind just the leopard or blue star?
Also what size tank?
Did they start the same size?
How long till they turned on each other?

So you’re female is a little darker? Thinking the one I am getting is a female. I wonder with the amount of fish and the size of the tank if it could be not as bad???

Also got a frag system I could donate a leopard wrasse too but obviously would rather not cuz then I couldn’t enjoy it as much.

Looks super healthy and he fed it before he bagged it and it was eating good! I am SOOO excited

You can have more than just one in a tank that size. Just make sure it’s a different species, at least that’s what I’ve been led to believe

My guy who does a lot of tank breakdowns told me while I was there that he has a radiant wrasse for 80 bucks coming out of QT Soon and I looked it up.... Kinda want to add that to the 180 now.

Yeah, that sounds good. Definitely go for the radiant. Beautiful fish. I had a blue star in the 90 gallon I just sold. Great fish.

I now have several different females together.

However, people keep harems of the same type as well. 1 M 2+ F

Multiple males will more than likely fight, even different types.

Basically, go ahead and add what you like but realize that down the road, sexes may change and dynamics my change and you may need to fish trap one out.

Shoot got her in last night. Went down to check and you wouldn't belive that she hasn't been in the tank for months. Swimming with the pack. Going after pellets, Going crazy for brine shrimp.
Super thick and healthy and the coloring is just WOW!

I have harem of Meleagris Leopards and harem of Black Leopards. They will do fine together if your tank is reasonably large. These two species are the more docil of the Leopards.

Currently have the 1 female melegaris leopard that I shown earier and have a female blue star leopard coming in next week. Then it’s whatever else catches my eye from there. Would REALLY like a potters with the gold and blue just breath taking, but it is very hard to source sadly.

Blue stars are one of the mst agressive of the Leopards. If some reefers complaint of problem pairing or one Leopard attacking another one, it is a Blue star.
There is a closely related species of Blue Star from the Red Sea. These guys are more beautiful and more docile, but of course notice expensive
