Aside from the colors, the beauty of these flowers is their ability to thrive in harsh environments. That patch of flox and paintbrush are clinging to the hard rock of Angel's Landing through the wind and heat.
 
Not a flower but my wife took pictures of a visitor in our garden this morning

I had family members who had a pack of raccoons living outside their house. I would see them almost every night i went over there because they would be eating the cat food they would leave out for the stray cat.
 
We got these this weekend, not bad for being on sale at Sam's.
