Let's put together a thread of aquariums that are kept in the basement. A lot of basement reefs are in wall and have tank rooms from what I have seen!

Let's see yours!

You know when you have a good cabinet person, when they build the own cart for installs.

I think I made a mistake and this tank is actually not in the basement! But we'll leave it because it's awesome! HA!

Wow! Rev, can you contract that guy for your build.......that is awesome!!

You should start a "go fund me," account!

If anyone here could pull it off........then we all collectively decide what to put in the tank.....SPS of course :D

I'm planning a 200-300 gallon peninsula/wall tank to divide my future room from the rest of the basement. The tank will be against the wall, be 6 feet long, and will connect to a door frame. It'll make a wall, but will be visible through the doorway, so I consider it a peninsula. I need some inspiration so this thread popped up at just the right time ;)

Here's a picture of mine. It's a custom built acrylic tank, 64x36x24. Currently cycling.

Love it! Do you have a build thread here?

My tanks are in the basement. I live in Spokane Washington. It gets hot in the summer & cold in the winter. I don't use heaters or chillers. AC works hard in the summer & I dont let my house get cold in the winter.

Looks great! Do you have more details?

Love your tank bro! I didn't realize it was a basement reef!

I had a 180 260 and a 220 sump was awesome in the basement all connected the sump was so easy to access but my one recommendation is make sure the tanks are easy to access I wanted to have the tank high so I can stand or sit to view it ended up regretting it had to get on a huge latter and still couldn't reach things in my tank so make sure u can have easy access cause when u go big there can be a lot of places u can't reach
