I am running hydra 52's on my reefer xxl. Currently have blues at 100 and whites at 70. Have a bunch of clams on the sand so trying to keep par at 300 on the sand bed. Some of my acros on the top are getting poor polyp extension in direct areas where they come in contact with the light. Areas on the same coral that are lower or in shadier areas have better polyp extension and just look overall better. Would dialing back the leds and utilizing t5's to get to the same par level be a better all around alternative?
