Hey guys,

I'm in planning stage and looking at the 150 g NUVO Ext (~48" L x ~36" W x ~20" H) for a SPS dominated system.

Would the 36" 6 x 39 W SunPower T5 system be enough? Looking to supplement it with a couple ReefBrite bars.

Really want to keep T5s but willing to add other LED options along with T5.

The other option is:

With Radion vs AI vs Kessils? How many?

What do you guys recommend?

Thanks

I would go with a 4' fixture, 6 or 8 bulbs. You'll be able to grow anything that you want. Sure, add the LED bars if you want, for evening viewing.

If given the option id go with the 8 bulb seeing as the tank is 36" wide. I have a 36" 8 bulb t5 going over my 50 gallon lowboy 48"x24"x10" and its a little over kill. But I think it would be perfect for your tank.

That's a really wide tank, even an 8 bulb ati fixture would only cover 18" of the 36" of width.

If you are planning a canopy, you have plenty of room to get creative. I would retrofit multiple t5 and leds spaced out for better coverage.
