Wow nice mount! Tell me how it does. And did u get a timer or something as well?
I do have one timer now but I'll have to get another one before I start my lighting schedule because the blues and full spectrum are on two separate power cables. I'm currently only cycling this tank.

I put a blackbox led over my fifteen and I love it. You definitely need to dial it down though. I had a 24" orbit marine supplemented with a purple plus over the fifteen for awhile. I loved the colors and pop. The features are pretty sweet too.

Hmm seems like a good alternative route. The cables are separate for blue and white...sounds pretty good but still hanging isn't ideal for the ceiling I have. Also if I am taking the tank to college with me in the future hanging wouldn't work either. But the pvc stand was pretty nice. I will think about which route I will go with. THanks guys!!

I found shelving similar to this in my basement. I connected the vertical metal mounts to the back of my stand, and then used the shelf arms (minus the wire rack) to hang the fixture from. Took maybe 15 minutes to finish.

Got the same recommend. Spotty narrow beam though. Been looking at them. Do the lenses come off?

Saltyfilmfolks, the lenses pop off right easy - mine arrived with one dead diode, so had to pop its lens off (along with a few of the surrounding ones) to replace it. (Marshydro was pretty good about sending replacement LEDs and the teeniest little resistors . . . but glad I know someone who solders!) The lenses are held on with a dab of silicone sealant, so they were easy to pop off, and easy to replace. (I've got a longer fixture over a deeper tank, so wanted the optics.)
