??? lighting???

hello r2r members my tang is 60x24x24 i have a tek-light that has 6-54 watt t5 the light is 48' do you think is good for this tank oh and it's going to be an sps tank or do i need to go to 60'' light with 8 t5 ??????

It should be ok you'll have lower par on the ends for lps and such just put high par bulbs in like 3-blue plus 2-aquablue specials and a purple plus and you'll be just fine!

You think 2-250 mh is better or the 8-80 t5's with 40 blue led's ??? I need have good light for growth

Both will work just fine. The t-5's will consume less power, run cooler, and the bulbs last a little longer then MH.

The T-5s will be fine... Personal preference though I would try a true-actinic bulb rather than the fiji purple... If you are ordering them, get both and see which one you like. I tried the fiji purples and just am not sold on them. Would be swapping for an actinic at the next bulb change but swapping out all T-5 for LED on the new tank.
