Is this some kind of joke..... I'm not sure I would be willing to order from them, maybe trying to liquidate what they have left because there was discussion they wanted to abandon the livestock to die.

My bet is they are trying to liquidate the $200k in livestock they were going to abandon. I wouldn't trust this with a 100 foot pole
^Yes this! They realized that the livestock is a huge liability, they either need to pay to care for them, or they will just die and completely devalue the what's left of the business, go figure 🤪 I wouldn't trust this either, there's lots of other vendors to order from.

All I can think of seeing the discount code.

My first thought was selling the remaining livestock as well. They either offload it or let it all die. And given the pics I’ve seen of the Wisconsin facility it’s likely all in their Los Angeles facility, which has never produced quality livestock. I’d stay far away from this. Sad.

Saw this on a fb post with the flyer.. true or not I have no clue..if you didn’t receive a order it’s worth calling the numbers lol

Well, now, to be fair, they did say they were..... "sorry".

All this livestock must be from their LA facility then, right?
They do not have a California facility. Everything that ships from CA comes directly from Quality Marine (unless something has changed over the last few years regarding this).

I recieved an order from them on 10/23 that included a bunch of snails, an Elegance and a Tail Spot Blenny. I don't like ordering fish online but I've been look for a Tail Spoty locally for a while. Everything arrived totally healthy! No issues at all. There was a slight delay on their side shipping the order on time but it arrived overnight, professionally packed and healthy. All of this is so odd.

Can we stop pushing the false idea that LiveAquaria planned to physically “abandon” their livestock or harm it in some way? It is typical online outrage devoid of actual fact.

They weren’t asking to abandon livestock, as in leave it for dead. They’re in bankruptcy, which means every action must go through a judge. The livestock is a listed asset. It can’t just be given away or donated or put on fire sale to clearance it. They are legally bound to maintain it and sell it as usual as part of their business inventory unless a judge allows otherwise.

The “abandonment” motion is the legal step to remove those assets from their books so another party can take ownership instead of LiveAquaria having to pay to maintain and sell those assets.
