Live Rock and Cycle Kit Overkill?

Hi all,
I’m likely going to use live rock for my upcoming ‘scape. I was also considering getting the Algaebarn ultimate aquarium cycle kit. Is that overkill though? Would there be any negative impacts there?

"Live" rock? Meaning it's already wet and cycled.

If it's live rock from a tank or ocean then it doesn't matter. It won't do much. The pns substrate sauce would be the only one I'd consider but really it would matter imo

Correct - rock from the ocean.

There would be no need to use the kit as the rock is live and already has the bacteria within it. It wouldn't hurt but a waste of money in my opinion.
