The parent company of LiveAquaria (CIS) and their wholesale division (Tropical Fish International/TFI) was one of Petcos primary fish suppliers, at least a number of years ago. That's probably why Petco sold Liveaquaria to them as they already had a close relationship. I believe they were essentially a transhipper and didn't really have much of a US based operation, at least before LiveAquaria. I don't think they ever shipped fish from a LiveAquaria facility to a petco store. I know petco used CIS for a lot of freshwater, like Guppies and stuff that came out of Sri Lanka, I would assume they used them for saltwater too.

Check out Premium Aquatics. Prices may not be equal to LA but they do an amazing job of packing and getting it to your doorstep better than what you can buy locally. I buy all of my LRS food from them as it is better than what I can pick up locally.

I think they only ship on Tuesdays. Great to work with and I've read similar posts both here and elsewhere. If nothing else worth reaching out to see what they say and carry.
