I'm rounding the bend on getting my tank setup here in another few months and am looking to find some recommendations on products for the build.

Specifically I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a calcium reactor.

The tank is going to be a 200g Deep Dimension. It'll be a full mixed reef like I have now.

Here are some other ones I am wondering about -

Skimmer - Cone, not sure what one just yet. Still looking - want to stay below $800

Lighting - 2 x 400w Radiums - Need info on where to buy and what ballasts

Actinics - VHO 22k super actinics - need info on where to buy

Return pump - ?

Kalk Reactor - Geo 618, I think. Its huge (just traded for it)

Top-off - JBJ with a top-off tank (already have)

Can't think of the other things I might need right now.

I'd like to do a package deal somewhere if possible. So if anyone knows of a good place that does deals, lmk - I'm cheap :)

you shouldve kept that litermeter. that would have been perfect for your top off and kalk reactor. look at reeftek and mrc Ca reactors they seem to be well priced and get good reviews. i'm looking at picking one up for my new tank build, so i've been researching as well.

Yeah, but I had an Xmas trip to California that needed a little fundage :)

I'll end up running my top-off through the Kalk with my JBJ, it has worked great so far.

I'll have to take a look at those reactors.

Will you be doing a custom stand or using the standard Marineland cabinet?

Curious because I just got my 200 DD and am currently going through the same build proces you are.

I'm not sure yet. That part is still undecided. I'm probably check out Jason Fox's 300g that he picked up at MACNA and see if I like the stand enough to keep it. I was at MACNA and saw the 300g, but I didn't really look at the stand that close.

Probably not though. I'll probably be building mine own. I want it to be pretty modern looking with clean lines.

The outside display is as important to me as the inside.

I would run Galaxy ballast on those Radiums.
Ozone would be a good choice too.

HOW MUCH DOES A FISH’S FEEDING REQUIREMENTS AFFECT YOUR STOCKING DECISIONS?
