Nice work. I like the Hector but have stayed away from gobies as they always stress out my scolies, acnthos, fungia etc with all the sand dumping. How is the Hector in this regard? Or the rainfordi?
My hectori never really spat sand far from where he picked it up and he certainly never went higher than the first rock with sand in his mouth.

Mine scoops, swims a couple of inches, and then filters.

Oh. No gobies for me then:)
They don't drop near the amount that my Lawnmower Blenny and Starry Blenny do. Those stupid things eat sand all day and then poop huge streams of sand across the tank. It's rather disturbing. I would say my fish are all pretty good. The Hector's filters sand over my Gonis, the Melanurus spits sand on the Zoas, and the Four Spot spits over the sand bed. I don't get huge sand storms and I rarely have to turkey baste the sand off anything. Once or twice a week I have to unbury the base of the Duncans because they sit on the sand, but that's the Twin Spot and Conch that bury him.

I have a yellow flank fairy wrasse on my short list for my 40g office tank. Anything you guys can tell me beyond what Google says?
You mean cyanopleura? They’re nice. They do get quite pushy as they age, and are pushy in general. ESPECIALLY at feeding time so that’s not a plus. But at the same time I’ve seen a few get picked on. Definitely a 4 foot or larger for this guy. They get a decent size on em too. Colors are best when they are younger IMO.

Cirrhilabrus ryukyuensis same as cyanopleuro though.
I think there is a variation. If you pay attention cyanopleura has more dimmed colors. It’s very similiar to the case of all the Hooded Flame Fairies.

Oh I’m just saying that ryukyuensis is the yellow flanked. Cyanopleura is the blue flanked. Everything you say about them is right though!
