Fantastic. I've never been a huge LPS guy, but those are great. I'd definitely put some colors like that in my tank :) Nice stuff man

Thanks guys.

See, you've just been looking at the wrong lps dude. You don't have to be an lps lover, or even a coral lover, to appreciate stuff like this.

Yeah, mine took a while to develop the deep purple contrast with the blue rim. When I first got it, it was mostly blue, but if you figure the rim is always blue, and a small piece is basically all rim, then it makes sense. After it hit around 2", that's when the colors got really nice. Basically it just got incrementally better with size. It's really in the last 3-4 months that it's started looking this good.

What is that one in the first picture? I like the bleeding red look

That's the Paradise Pippen favia; one of my favorite favias!

Thanks Mike,

The Angel Eyes is definitely one of my top 5 favias. It's gotten even nicer since that photo. I think I'm up to 5-6 polyps or so now. Can't wait till it's a bit beautiful colony! The thick pink/purple rings and green rim are a couple things that make it stand above. It'll probably rival or surpass the Baby's Breath colony above it some day.

How long have you had the SC angel eyes favia? I've always wanted to get that from Mike, but I was wondering what kind of growth rate it has.

I've had it for several months, probably around 6. I started with 2 polyps and I'm up to around 6. I'd say it grows like any other favia for me.

Those lps corals are simply amazing. Not as "popular" as the sticks or zoanthids, but the colors on them are just as incredible IMO.
