Lps declining

I cant for the life of me figure out what is happening to some of my lps. They seem to be stressed and declining. Scoly, favia, some cephastrea. Sps seems to be fine and other corals like zoas, duncans, hammers most chalices.

It just seems like they are deflated and as for the favias, it seems like the edges are degrading and working its way up to the center. The big colony of cephastrea seems to have tissue just sloughing off is some areas.

I just sent in an icp test yesterday so it'll be a few days till I get the results.

Yes I did actually. Did 30 gals last week and another 60 gals Sunday. Its a 220 total gal system.

Sounds like a lighting issue. Either too much or too little. You will have to do some experimenting.

I've had most of these pieces for years. The scoly and favia are over 10 years old. Ive had the same lighting on the tank for years.

could a fish or invert be going rouge? whats weird to me is the living tissue seems relatively healthy.... i had a copperband that was smart enough to not eat my corals infront of me lol

I swear its acting almost like an edge band disease. Its like slowly creeping up. Cephastrea is what I'm surprised with. That's usually bullet proof and in some places it almost looks like rtn.

Its weird because the feeding tentacles are still out on the scoly.

Still having issues with this in case anyone has any other input. I did a dip on all affected corals with revive and then iodine. I also did a whole tank treatment with cipro for 6 days based on the link provided. It seemed like things were turning around for the better for a little while but now it seems like its happening again.

Again, its only affecting lps seemingly. Favias, chalices, my scoly and space invader pectinia. SPS funny enough are doing great. I'm contemplating now doing an in tank treatment of chemiclean. Kinda at my wits-end at this point.

I have an LPS tank, my MG dropped which I didn’t realize, scolys and acans reacted. I also dose MB7 lightly, which they seem to react well too. I was ready to toss the acans which I’ve had for years, they rebounded within a couple weeks.

I also have a couple scolys that receded around the edges but they’re holding their own. One was a piece I had cut, the other was a saved piece from vendor. An urchin was eating the vendor piece, it has been removed. Waiting to see if that piece rebounds well.
