Bev, I regret the day I got a Nem and put it in my tank. I've given them away, moved them to another tank and the keep splitting. I have about 15 of them now and I curse ever putting one in my tank
If I had another tank setup they would have probably stayed in there, but now Selma does seem to be enjoying one. I may be getting one gone soon as I find a way to remove it. It’s not tucked in a rock so shouldn’t be hard to do.

I don’t know what is going on with the nems now a days. 15 years ago they would never split and grew to be huge. Now they split all the time and seem to stay smaller. Must be the variety they are these days.
When I mentioned to the local reef shop about this one splitting, the owner mentioned that this strain does seem to stay small and split a lot. :/ I guess that’s a good thing for smaller tanks. But I was hoping for it to get large enough for the clowns to actually use it so I could toss the barnacle.

Happy Birthday Beverly... 🙂

Thanks! ❤️

sorry for my absence we have been…. Struggling. Seems we are all feeling our age. Or the weather. Or both?

Yesterday I tackled a pretty decent algae removal and pulled a 20 gallon water change. I moved the powerhead to the center of the back, in hopes to have a little better flow. Maybe it’ll pull water from behind and between the rocks piled to the sides.

All three fish are a bit irritated, the nems seem to be ok. I think my aiptasia is spreading about on that rock, but I have nowhere to place it and I really don’t want to remove cause all the zoas.

I think it’s looking ok :) I’ll have to scope it to see if the Dino’s are starting to die off. Seems they’re intertwined with the algae. Grabbed a couple snails to help with that, so far they’re not really messing with it. They stay pretty hidden all day, and I’ve seen one every evening with lights out. The other is mia.

The good news is the water smelled green and not like dinos so I’ll take it. Much rather tackle algae.

Full tank shot this mornin, Selma a little irritated with me, and Melody yesterday showing exactly how I felt halfway through the whole ordeal lol.

Morning guys. Sorry for the absence once more.

My grandson was born Monday at about 7:20. Daughter is fine, baby Titus did very well the first night. However he has started to have some apnea and they aren’t sure why.

His blood work is completely normal, his heart is good and strong. He was born crying which the doctors said was very strange. Yesterday they did an echo on his little heart and it’s perfect and strong. Today he is going to get an MRI. Mama is exhausted between worrying and pumping and not able to really stay with him.

Please pray for healing. While I’m grateful he will ride the storm out in a place with generators, I worry about him. He’s such a sweet little guy, very little fuss. Send all well wishes and happiness and healing to my daughter, her husband and little Titus please. They have absolutely no idea why he’s stopping breathing like this.
