Similar if not identical in growth form to the BC Bliss and BC Cemetery Party. A few more colors mixed in, green and tan mostly.

I've been using an auto neck cleaner for about 8 months now with the hopes of achieving more consistent skimming results and bit less maintenance. However, I'm not sure how I feel about it so far. Within my experience I've noticed a drop off of production every 2 weeks unless the blade and assembly is cleaned. The process takes about 20 mins and is a bit more cumbersome than the standard lid, but the standard lid required my cleaning attention every few days in order to keep the neck clean. I'm convinced the smaller skimmer neck of the BK180 is a bit tight for real estate and once the blade is muddied up with some solid skimmate it starts to affect the overall production. Anybody else have experiences with these?

I had the same experience with a large lifereef skimmer which has a small neck for the size. After a week skim would really not produce like before. I ended up taking it off and the skimmer went nuts for a month trying to catch up. I won’t use a neck cleaner unless it’s on a large skimmer with a 5+” neck now.

I had a baby 2" Red Sea Regal Angel in my tank for about a month before it started nipping the coral. It was tough getting rid of it as it ate frozen and pellets and was such a beautiful fish. However, it was the fastest sale I ever made. I had 10 people wanting to buy it as soon as I listed it on R2R.

Did you add any "beneficial" bacteria after the Chemiclean dosing?
In a sense I did. I reached out to an online coral vendor and acquired 15lbs of live rock from their system. It had loads of sponge and feathers. I can only assume it had a good population of bacteria. My tank really started making the turn at that point.

Months before the chemiclean I tried MB7 and Dr Tim’s eco balance, but I had nothing but struggles while doing so. Cyano and eventual coral necrosis.

You know, I feel ecobalance and MB7 sparked a cyano issue for me too. I haven’t dosed in over a month and it hasn’t come back. I chemicleaned my tank too.

I feel that once a tank is thriving it is a bit risky to add more bottled bacteria that can upset the current balance with new and unknown strains. No real evidence behind this, but just my opinion.

I just dosed chemiclean in my tank for some cyano I had and also some random VERY slow STN in my wild colonies. I am hoping this will help not only the cyano but stop that STN as I believe it is bacterial. I forget, did you add any bacteria back into your tank after the chemiclean or not?
