Hi guys. I´m looking for a opinion

What do you think, is the mantle too exposed for these clams (Crocea)?

Both are showing better colors than in the LFS (More less 1 moth here in my aqua)

Also both shows a good new shell formation

Parameters:
pH 8.4
Ca 420 ppm
Mg 1300 ppm
Kh 8.8 dKH
NH4 and NO2 = 0
NO3 = 4
PO4 = 0.04
Temp. = 25.3 - 25.8 ºC
Dens. = 1025
Light LED = 30W right above the Clams for a 25 cm water column from surface to clam´s mantle

Welcome to Reef 2 Reef!!

Those look like healthy and happy Crocea's to me.

As long as their mouths are not gaping too much and they have good shadow reflex, your all good.

:)

Thanks GoVols :D

No, not gaping, and both showing very fast shadows reflex :)

FWIW:
You might want to let them attach to your scape.

Crocea's like to bore deep into live rock.

Welcome to R2R. Beautiful clams! They look very happy. Keep an eye out for new shell growth, that will tell you that your clams are growing and healthy.

Thanks ;Happy

Both are growing, but the full blue one has more shell growth. I think it is due the size (smaller ) compared with the brown, and also the individual characteristic. Also the brown one usually open more the inhalant siphon. I think it is the most interesting about clams, how each individual is so unique

Welcome to R2R!

Sweet clams you have there!

Thanks :D I really lith these clams

Guys, thanks for the opinions :D

Today I did a small modification, due new coral arriving, and bringing both to the top for better illumination spot

Both look happier and with more bright colors ;Happy
