Anyone use the rock and sand from Marco Rocks? Dry Live Rock for Sale | Aragonite Sand | Aquarium Supply - Marco Rocks

I think the rock will be great, but I am considering getting the sand from here for a 4" DSB, and I was wondering if anyone can give a review of the sand? They offer two types, coarse and fine, but they don't specify the actual size of the grains of sand.

40lbs for $30 shipped is a good deal.

Also, the sand isn't "live", and I was wondering what is the best way to get the life into the sand?

Any thoughts?

I've used Marco dry rock in all of my tanks, but never used their sand. I have never used live sand, just dry. You can seed sand with a scoop of sand from a friend's established tank, or use single live rock. These plans take longer, but I've never had issues with nuisance algae or detrimental hitchhikers this way.
