So i have been locking down on the rrot of my bubble issue and i have come to the last thing my overflow is making them. I have a 93G cube and i see know one else having issue with theres any advice on what to do?

sorry before this anser comes in yes i have two filter sock on the line that the over flow emptys into and they do things im not even sure where they micro bubbles develiop in the drain line.

Im almost possitive its from the return, the skimmer was just off for a hour and it did just about nothing.

make sure the return line is tightly hooked up to pump and bulk head and that there are no air leaks, its easy for air to be sucked in and returned to the tank

He said he turned everything off all return pumps and skimmer for a few hours and it was still there thats wy i think it might be bacteria or somthing are you over dosing the pellets?

I've had microbubbles from my skimmer collect in my return pump. If you're not running a powerful return, then that could be something to look into. Just turn off the pump and give it a shake underwater to see if bubbles come out of it.

Microbubbles can also result from too fast a flow through the sump. If you can, slow down your return pump by 50% for a while and see if that doesn't help. If flow through your sump is too fast the bubbles can go straight through your baffles and back to the return pump.

I had issues with the water flowing too fast through my baffles and when the water entered the return pump chamber it would suck air into the water colum causing larger bubbles and then my pump would suck them in and creat micro bubbles out of them. Since I have added more water volume to the sump to bring the level up over the baffles and it fixed the problem.

what kind of sump are you using? Did you diy. i know on my first one i made my baffles too far apart and not low enough so i had some micro bubbles i ended up removing the sump making another one and have not had any bubble problems since then. If you are using a filter sock i highly doubt it could be from the drain line so it has to be the return or skimmer.
