But, anyways, awesome yuma Marvin. I dont get why so many people have trouble with these. I mean is it the halides that are too strong and they just melt away? I mean i have mine under 4x54 T5's up in the middle of the tank and i have never had a yuma die on me......

a lot of it has to do with shipping stress IMHO... some of these guys get shipped too many times for a short period of time which explains the good looks for the first week and melting away the next.... I'm very fortunate to have kept one that is still healthy and thriving today.. I actually had 3 babies when I bought it and the babies did the disappearing act...

I hope it produces babies soon... :D

Awesome Marvin, a couple of friends for that yuma will look good.
Az with regards to why some make it and some don't. I shaded all my yumas for months prior to direct exposure to the lights. Secondly i think tank raised yumas do much better than wild caught ones.

Yeah that yuma is real nice. I have one yuma that lasted like 3 days in my tank before my flow blew it off the rock it was attached to. Now it's attached to the bottom glass in the back corner.
