*** this is one of the brightest zoas in my tank... you can see how vibrant they are compared to the rest of the zoas around them... they enjoy high lights IMO... (btw, the pic on the bottom is not the same setting as the ones above... a little bit darker and auto white balanced)

Are those pink elephants in the top right corner of the last shot on the 15th page?

-*-* Variable Star (more commonly known as Mohawks)*-*-
- Acquired date: 10-11-06
- Lighting: 250w MH DE (mid section in the tank: 18" deep)
- Flow: medium
- Growth rate: pretty fast growers IME
- Current # of polyps: 9 polyps -- was at around 20 polyps but had a really bad recession which brought the polyps count to 3, but I didn't give up on them... they started having 2-3 polyps every 3-4 weeks after a recovery time of about 2-3 weeks... and they colored up nicely upon exposing to more light..

Wow Marvin. I'm sure I've seen those Mohawks before but those are incredible looking. Like others have said, I think the POTD is a great idea and it's also a great way for us to drool over your zoas :)
