I came home today and my tank was at .08 without me having to dos anything. I did add some more AB+. There is still a large amount of diatoms in the tank, but I think they will go with time.I don't know whether it can absorb phosphate or not. But if it can, at some point it would reach saturation point and then no longer be a problem. Nitrate likewise, but in the scheme of things it's really a home for nitrate production anyway.
I'm wondering if the Silicon is the reason I'm having so many diatoms, I'm thinking about running some Purit.
You are really getting to know me, you already know what I will do before I do it. LOLEventually when the diatoms consume all the silica. They will die back and your filtration will remove them along with the silica they bind up. But I know you have said you're not patient, so I guess you'll go with the chemical solution.
Go slow with Iodine, overdosing can be harmful to your tank. Too low is better than too high for that.
One of these days I will get it cleaned up. Every time I get some time to do it, I go look at it and get overwhelmed and then go watch tv.You're a qualified electrician for south east Asia now! ;Hilarious

The GEO is already starting to make a difference with PH. I just need to make sure that I have it dialed in for the ALK and Cal.
This is the programing I used for the dosing,
Fallback OFF
Set OFF
OSC 059:31/000:29/000:00 Then ON
If Time 08:00 to 20:00 Then OFF
If Output Kelistir = ON Then OFF
Min Time 016:00 Then OFF
And this is the programing I used for the pump stir.
Fallback OFF
OSC 000:00/005:00/240:00 Then ON
I have no idea if it is right, I'm not very good at programing.
Actually its maintaining my alk very nicely, I may have to bring it down just a bit or get more corals to put in the tank.I can't help you with programming. I'm a dinosaur when it comes to this stuff. I'd post it on the Apex programming forum and see what others think.
I put in small order that will be here on Tuesday.Actually its maintaining my alk very nicely, I may have to bring it down just a bit or get more corals to put in the tank.
Well, this is not keeping up with my alk, and my ph has started to fall again. This is in spite of the PH in the reactor sitting at 12. So right now I'm thinking about increasing the dose time to 35 minutes. The GEO is already starting to make a difference with PH. I just need to make sure that I have it dialed in for the ALK and Cal.
